Me,myself, and that guy…

I am a technocratic, hypervigilant, carbon based, digitally represented manifestation of eastern spirituality and western neo-existentialist thought, suffering from post-democratic stress disorder, multiple personality, and obsessive electronic commercialism (OEC) syndrome.

I am also a father of 2, husband of 1 and Chief Technology Officer at BigFix. I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal and have lived in India, Thailand, Japan, and Hong Kong. I shoot with my Nikon D80 SLR primarily using a VR18-200mm lens , write screenplays with my brother – a comedian in LA, and living in California spend as much time as possible outside with my family.

My Professional Bio:

Amrit Williams has over 18 years of experience in information technology, security, and risk management and is currently the Chief Technology Officer of BigFix, an enterprise systems and security management solution provider. Amrit has held a variety of engineering, management and consulting positions prior to joining BigFIx. Most recently, Williams was a research director in the Information Security and Risk Research Practice at Gartner, Inc. where he covered vulnerability and threat management, network security, security information and event management, risk management, and secure application development. Previously, Williams was a director of engineering for nCircle Network Security, and undertook leadership positions at Consilient Inc., Network Associates, and McAfee Associates, where he worked to develop market leading security and systems management solutions.
